EVERY
GOOD GIFT
ABOUT US
How did we get started? The charity was founded in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, by Tonia Lachotzki, to meet the needs of those who have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19 in Zambia and the UK.
How do we support our beneficiaries? Our charity is rooted in James 1:17, and hopes to bring “good gifts” to those that are in need, by providing the following:
-
essential items such as furniture, bedding, clothing, food, fuel, appliances, equipment, schooling supplies and childcare provisions
-
microfinancing through loans and grants
-
physical and technological infrastructure, in particular solar panels and broadband provision
-
education, mentorship and strategic support to grassroot organisations
Who do we support? Anyone living in the UK or Zambia affected by poverty due to the coronavirus pandemic. In particular, this includes:
-
Parents and children: Every Good Gift hopes to benefit single parents and new mothers through the provision of childcare items such as bottles and pushchairs.
-
Women: Through our charity, women are eligible to receive free sanitary products. This is a particularly pressing issue for schoolgirls in rural Zambia, where it has been reported that there is frequently inadequate provision of sanitary materials (source)
-
People who live in an area with low access to education or low progression to further education: Every Good Gift aims to provide equipment and access to educational resources.
-
Orphanages: Conditions are worsening in orphanages globally due to the Covid-19, and important equipment such as face masks and hand sanitizer are hard to come by (source). As a result, we hope to provide as many essential items as possble!
